Technology has increased accessibility which clears the way out for students and helps in making bridging and vanishing the gap between student’s skills knowledge and qualification. A student can easily access quality learning material through the internet. It gives students an edge which eliminates the deprivation fear of remote geographic locations and low socioeconomic status is no more being traced which allows them the accessibility to modern educational material. Learning platforms and personalized instruction fulfill the student’s needs and make them realize the difference between long-standing systems of education and modern ways of learning.

Additionally, modern technology engages students with its interactive features like simulations gamification, and scoring students based on their performance increases students’ desire to learn more.

Students can also make groups and work on projects which enhance their collaboration skills and polish their interpersonal skills. Students can enjoy having fruitful discussions.

Some of the challenges that most students face are the concept of being digitally divided which means unequal access to technology which creates disparities amongst the students, making some students more well off and some left with no coin in hand. However smart phones have decreased these parties a lot. Giving students almost equal opportunities.

Information overload: Students surfing online for study material come across a very vast pool of information which sometimes confuses them, secondly the student always faces credibility issues of about information.

Then comes the safeguarding student data.  Protecting privacy, and assuring online security is very critical issue now a days. Student make account and login to online portals for e-learning sometimes this data can be spread out and create legal issue for the account.

Technology has enormous effect on our education system on one hand it increases the student’s skill and knowledge set. Gives them access to a wide pool of data and making the learning session creative engaging and entertaining. While on the other hand this technology also has many negative impacts on the society and student learning environment, like data and privacy issue and information overload making student puzzled about what to read and what should not.
